Definition and Types of Social Media

Social Media (Social Media) is composed of two words: social media. Understanding the language, social media is a tool or means of public communication for hanging.

According to Indonesian Dictionary, the media is a tool, a means of communication, an intermediary, or a link. Social means "relating to the community" or the like to consider the public interest (like to help, donate, etc.).

Another term social media is "social networking" (social network), the network and rapport are oline on the internet. Therefore, according to Wikipedia, social media is an online media, with users (user) can easily participate, sharing (sharing), and creating the content includes blogs, social networks, wikis, forums, and virtual worlds.

Types of Social Media
Two social networking sites are the most popular and widely used today are Facebook and Twitter.

Twitter was founded by Jack Dorsey in March 2006 and was officially launched in July 2006.
