How to Move Hosting Blog (Backup and Restore Database)

For some reason, sometimes we want to move our blog hosting of a particular hosting provider to another. This is because the hosting performance may not be as expected or because no one offers cheap hosting with the same quality. But for beginners would be difficult to move from one hosting blog hosting to another because they have to back up and restore a database in a way to import it then upload content via FTP.

The way that I share is the result of my own experience when moving some of my WordPress blog to another hosting account in Idhostinger.com. Display hosting providers will vary, but the steps are the same:

1.      Go to your old hosting account and then back up the data into the dashboard blog with CPanel> Back up the search menu and then execution. You will find two files that consist of a database and content. After terback up then download the results back up that late.
2.      Then make and enter into a new hosting account (I take the example in idhostinger).
3.      Upon entry, create a new blog with the domain (blog address) of the same:
4.      Complete the steps to register a new blog. If it is then entered into the CPanel your blog and instantly find the Database menu. Then create a new database to create a MySQL database name, MySQL Username and Password (up)> then click Create:
5.      Once finished, then you must import the database by clicking the Import Database menu or can get into phpMyAdmin and look for the menu Import> search the database that you have already downloaded (Do not get ketukar with content. Size database is smaller than the content).
6.      After successful terimpor / uploaded, then you must transfer your blog content files using FTP.
7.      Once successful, the last step is to change the name of the MySQL database, MySQL username and password that exist on the wp-config according to the database that you have created through the File Manager> right click on the file wp-config> click edit file> looking for a MySQL Database Name , MySQL Username and Password and change / match the database you just created:
8.      It'S Done. Now you can blog as usual with a new hosting in a new hosting provider.
